Software Description
COMMON FORMATS AND VALIDATIONS
The software contains ten sheets, all of which share the following formats and validations:
1) The data input cells are the ones with a border.
2) Cells highlighted green contain either error messages or reminders. Please be sure that there are no error messages displayed in the current sheet before proceeding to the next one, as failing to do so might cause errors in the calculator output.
3) Cells highlighted tan contain essential data and financial advice.
4) Cells containing a little red triangle in the upper-right corner contain comments and clarifications. If you place the pointer over one of these cells, a comment will be displayed. We recommend that you carefully read all comments.
5) In the “Financial Information” sheet only, the items in red refer to expenses, whereas those in green refer to incomes.
6) Most cells contain validations restricting numerical values that you can enter. The allowed range for time horizon is from 1 to 100; while the one for monetary value is from 1 to 1,000,000,000. In addition, only non-negative whole numbers are allowed for entry.
7) Many comments include special financial terms highlighted green. You can study them in the financial glossary section.
IMPORTANT!
All sheets as well as the workbook itself are password protected to avoid accidental changes. Please do not attempt to drag and drop cells or alter the contents of the sheets in any other way.
